Isaiah 55:10-11 says it, As the rain falls from heaven and does not return until it has done what its purpose is, so also shall the word of God be. It will do that which it purposes to do. That word will not return empty but will accomplish that for which God purposed it. I am called to be faithful to the calling which God in jesus has extended to me, and that is wholly oriented to my neighbor, who everybody who is not I and that includes the created order as well. The creation is also my neighbor. That’s why we cannot choke the air with pollutants.
